Company Overview
ControlAir is a worldwide leading manufacturer of precision
pneumatic and electro pneumatic control products essential to automated
industrial equipment, process control systems and instrumentation,
laboratory research and analysis, energy management, fluid power,
robotics, and valve automation applications. An ISO-9001 registered
quality system assures tightly controlled specifications and processes,
resulting in high performance, dependable pneumatic controls.
The company has an excellent reputation for high performance, quality
products. These products include current-to-pressure (I/P) transducers,
voltage-to-pressure (E/P)transducers, pneumatic-to-current (P/I)
transducers, precision air pressure regulators, filter regulators,
volume boosters, motorized regulators, rolling diaphragm air cylinders
and custom engineered devices. ControlAir distinguishes itself from competitors in the
unique ability to adapt its products to customer-specific applications
through joint development projects and strategic design partnerships.
Founded in 1987, ControlAir is a closely-held, privately owned
company whose stockholders include key management personnel. Dedicated
effort, in combination with vast knowledge of pneumatic controls
technology and its markets, has provided ControlAir with consistant
sales growth over the history of the company. Continual investment
in research and development has been made in order to produce a
steady stream of new products that will fuel future growth. Development
of a world wide distribution network has led to an active, international
presence on every continent from North and South America to Europe
and the Far East. Over 15% of ControlAir's sales are outside the
U.S.
In October of 1997 significant manufacturing capacity was added
when ControlAir opened its new headquarters located in a 26,500
square foot engineering and production facility in Amherst, New
Hampshire. The new building features a technology/application center;
offering ControlAir's customers newly-expanded CAD/CAM product design
capabilities for quick response to demands for product customization
to fit specific application needs.
More recently, in December of 2002, ControlAir acquired the Dahl
Electronics product line from Purolator Facet, Inc., formerly known as
the G.W. Dahl Co., Inc.. Products included in the purchase were P/I
Transmitters (pressure to current), I/P Converters (current to pressure),
Snap-acting Pneumatic Relay's and Liquid Level Indication Systems.
Manufacturing of the product line was transferred to ControlAir's
headquarters in Amherst, New Hampshire. ControlAir offers the product
line under the Dahl Products Group heading.
In December of 2003, ControlAir successfully completed an ISO 9001-2000
transition audit allowing the Company to maintain registration as an ISO
9001 certified company.
ControlAir's customer-driven, "flat" management structure
minimizes corporate overhead and staff, allowing the company to
be very price competitive. In addition, its automated inventory
control operation minimizes inventory, while assuring customers
of in-stock availability and on-time delivery.
The company's capability to manufacture products to tightly controlled
specifications and processes allows ControlAir to offer solutions
with higher performance standards, increased dependability and tighter
quality standards than might be found elsewhere in the market.
